A lymphatic massage performed 1-2 days post-surgery can be highly beneficial for pain management and optimal recovery after a tummy tuck or liposuction. The gentle technique of lymphatic massage helps reduce postoperative swelling, discomfort, and fluid retention by promoting the body’s natural drainage process. By facilitating the removal of excess fluid and toxins, lymphatic massage can accelerate healing, improve circulation, and enhance the overall results of your surgery. Incorporating lymphatic massage into your postoperative care plan can significantly alleviate pain and promote a smoother, more comfortable recovery experience.

Conflicting information regarding the recommendation of lymphatic massage after surgery can arise due to variations in surgical techniques, individual patient factors, and surgeon preferences. While some surgeons may not specifically recommend lymphatic massage, others may view it as a beneficial adjunct to postoperative care. Lymphatic massage can aid in reducing swelling, promoting circulation, and enhancing the body’s natural healing processes.
